April 7 is Good Friday and fish chowder is on the menu at the soup kitchen! Coleslaw, buns, and dessert will round out the lunch meal for the clients. There will be potatoes and onions to peel and chop, dessert to prepare. The volunteers will be busy but having a good chat while the work gets done by 11:30. With gratitude to our congregation who support Feed My Sheep ensuring that on one journeys alone at Easter time.

Our Digital Community Animators Bid Fairwell
Back in July, Knox-St. Paul’s was able to hire two summer students through the Canada Summer Jobs program which provides “wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years”. Our social media and equipment needed some upgrading, and with the help of our Digital Community Animators, we have a freshly updated website and new technology to enhance our worship accessibility. We wish to thank our Digital Community Animators Nick Crate and Alexander Plant for their hard work and dedication over the summer to create a new design for our digital space in addition to providing IT support in setting up our new projector and computer systems. Be sure to check out the website, social media platforms, and our in-house livestreaming setup! We pray God’s blessing upon Nick and Alexander as they take the next steps in their future endeavors!
United Church Women 60th Anniversary

This weekend marks the 60th anniversary of the United Church Women! The UCW’s mission has always been to “love God; foster Christian commitment, faithfulness, and spirituality; and promote respect and love for all God’s creation”. On Saturday, the Summer Event was held at the Ramada Inn in Cornwall, where talks and workshops were held in celebration of this momentous anniversary. On Sunday, worship will be led by the UCW with Barbara Dejeet giving the reflection. We wish the UCW a happy anniversary, and may they continue to bless the communities they serve with the work that God has granted onto them.
